The charitable relationship between BioHorizons Camlog and hospice Naomi House & Jacksplace continues to benefit those in need, as the team’s recent efforts helped secure valuable donations worth over £10,000.

Earlier this year, the BioHorizons Camlog team decided to go head-to-head in a charity “Hustle”. ‘The Hustle’ is a charity team building event run by the Corporate Fundraising Team at Naomi House & Jacksplace that challenges employees to work together by using their persuasion and communication skills to acquire as many much-needed items as possible for our hospices.

Equipped with a hit-list of much-needed items the charity requires for those who attend the hospice or to use as prizes for future fundraising events, the teams were split into two and hustled their way into local shops and businesses in person, and over the phone and on email. With each item allocated a set number of points based on their value or worth to the charity, teams competed for the most points. The final result saw an outstanding effort from the two teams, with over 80 items hustled and secured to a value over £10,000!

In just one afternoon, both teams managed to secure donations including Hospitality tickets to Liverpool F.C., Tottenham Hotspur F.C. and the British Grand Prix Moto GP 2023 which could be used for fundraising. Other items collected in the Charity Hustle, included sensory and wellbeing products, arts and crafts, and toys and games for both the care floor and families that stay at the hospice.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed the Hustle. It encouraged team building and competition between us all whilst supporting a great cause. I’d thoroughly recommend this day to any other business that may be looking for a different team building challenge!”
