September marked a truly memorable occasion for the BioHorizons Camlog team as we saw the return of our much-anticipated UK & Ireland National Symposium

Held at the stunning Beaumont Estate in Windsor, Berkshire, the two-day event united our customers with a panel of highly-acclaimed speakers to present their clinical skills, insights, cases and even ‘disasters’ across the theme ‘Aesthetics in Implantology’.

General Manager UK & Ireland, Alex Guest, opened the event by highlighting that he was looking forward to commemorating the journey of BioHorizons and Camlog over the last 30 and 25 years respectively at the Symposium.

Education lies at the core of our values, aiming to enhance patient outcomes. We’re excited to be able to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, professional growth and camaraderie and look forward to continuing to shape the future of implant dentistry – General Manager UK & Ireland, Alex Guest.

Building upon the success of previous symposiums, a schedule that maximised accessibility and value was crafted to explore the nuances of achieving optimal aesthetic outcomes in implant procedures, focusing on implants, hard and soft tissue management, and full-arch treatment.

An excellent networking opportunity in a beautiful setting. The sessions were incredibly informative and left me excited to implement these learnings into my practice.

Delegates engaged in bite-sized, engaging sessions led by a panel of four chairpersons and 14 speakers. Its interactive format concluded with lively Q&As, allowing attendees to delve deeper into real-world challenges and learn from the experiences of seasoned professionals. This was especially true during the the eagerly anticipated return of the ‘Disasters from the Masters’ session.

A night of celebration and giving back

Continuing the 30I25 celebrations of BioHorizons Camlog, the Symposium wasn’t all work and no play. Delegates enjoyed a touch of nostalgia with a 90s-themed evening, complete with nostalgic music from this decade and vibrant ‘cool Britannia’ attire.

Supporting social impact was also at the heart of the event. The entire symposium registration fee was donated to our chosen charity Naomi House & Jacksplace, while the event also gave a platform for DHST (Dentists’ Health Support Trust) to raise awareness of mental health and addiction struggles within the profession, and how they can support dentists during such challenging times.

The BioHorizons Camlog National Symposium 2024 successfully combined education, collaboration, and celebration, providing dental professionals with the tools and knowledge to elevate their practice. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all our delegates, chairpersons and speakers for making the BioHorizons Camlog UK & Ireland National Symposium 2024 an incredible success – here’s to 2026!
