This online and hands-on oral surgery cadaver course for GDPs offers a unique opportunity to further your knowledge in minor oral surgical procedures.
This interactive course is ideal for GDPs looking to further their knowledge and enhance their skills in oral surgery through a combination of online and hands-on clinical experience.
Following a series of six online learning tutorials to cover the theoretical aspects of the course, delegates will undertake a hands-on cadaver training day in the Dissection Room at Kings College London.
All online sessions will take place on Thursday’s over a 6-week period between 8-9pm. There will be the chance to understand the criteria for case selection, including medical, radiographic and clinical assessment of oral surgery cases and consolidate your knowledge of anatomy and local anaesthetic techniques, as well as instrumentation and the management of routine XLAs. GDPs will also be educated on wisdom teeth extractions, CBCT imaging and managing complications.

Day 1 – Medical, clinical, and radiographic assessment pre-operatively
Day 2 – Anatomy and local anaesthetic technique
Day 3 – All surgery instrumentation and management of routine XLAs
Day 4 – Surgical extractions; technique and management
Day 5 – Wisdom teeth extractions and CBCT imaging
Day 6 – Complications and their management
Day 7 – Hands-on cadaver training day in the Dissection Room at Kings College London
This course has been established to meet the specific needs of oral surgeons not only to acquire skills, but also to plan and perform standard and advanced techniques in surgical extractions, including flap raising, bone removal and suturing. This oral surgery course is open to all dentists, not just those who practise in dental implants. Costing only £1,250+ vat and led by Dr Toheed Hamid and Dr Mohsin Ali, delegates will have the added advantage of gaining 17 valuable hours of CPD.
